Service Assurance & Operations/Network Operations within Global Services & Operations at Telia Company are now looking for a driven and problem solving Senior Technical Specialist to support the team in Solna.

In GSO Service Assurance & Operation our mission is to manage IT and data network Infrastructure, applications, product, service, operations and related processes. In Network Operations, our target is to provide a global network with focus on quality, cost efficiency and scalability in an environmentally sustainable way. Network Operations responsibilities are to operate all Telia Company fixed and mobile networks in our markets in Nordics, Baltics and International. We are part in activities concerning ITIL named processes in SA & Ops organization. Our responsibility leads the production, development and convergence of the networksand plays an integral part of the future growth strategy of Telia Company.

Job description

Senior Technical Specialist is specialized to handle the Swedish and International IP core network to solve customer and network issues as a 3rd line engineer. The work also includes project participation, problem tickets from customers or alarms, proactive work to improve quality in our network and for our customers. You will have a direct contact with our Customer Care unit, monitoring teams, external vendors, subcontractors, customers, development engineers and managers to ensure a fast and high quality Service Assurance process. The customers range from consumers, smaller businesses to large corporations and operators.

The main body of the working time is office hours but occasionally you will also work at other times, including on-call duties.

Secure high network quality
Handle daily operations
On call duty
Foresee and prevent issues
Work proactively so that faults do not occur
Participate in projects
Provide excellent service towards customers

Competence and experience

Excellent skills within the IP area (e.g. TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and ISIS etc.)
Fluent Swedish and English both in speech and in writing
University degree or working experience within the IP industry
Good skills within routed and switched networks, transmission network and architecture
Certification on Cisco/Juniper level or similar
Experience in scripting, programing, databases and server knowledge
